10/11/19 Fire Prevention Week

A Little History Of Fire Prevention Week

President Calvin Coolidge proclaimed the first National Fire Prevention Week on October 4-10, 1925, beginning a tradition of the President of the United States signing a proclamation recognizing the occasion. It is observed on the Sunday through Saturday period in which October 9 falls, in commemoration of the Great Chicago Fire, which began October 8,1871, and did most of its damage October 9. Fall 2019

This fall I started my second semester to earn my Associates of Science in Fire Technology. Along the way I am learning more than just what I thought I was. I’m learning about different certification programs, credentials I can earn, EMS/First Responder life and so much more! I can’t wait to learn as much as I can and share it along the way! (:
